Summer is almost here!

We have had a busy few days, but that will soon come to an end. Luke is officially done with preschool, the photo is from his closing program. He really had a good year and is so ready for kindergarten. Justin and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Next year we will have big plans, or at least we hope to :). And it has gotten plenty warm here, so Justin spends lots of time on his bike. This was Heidi's first ride, she loved it, I almost cried (they only went around the block). And we will be borrowing my parent's backyard quite a bit this summer to keep cool; the top photo is from when the kids used the sprinkler (love the cheap entertainment).
And some bits of news: I heard from the NIH doctor, they received the genetic test back (they did their own test at a private lab). Emily's diagnosis doesn't change, basically there are several mutations on the same gene. They are calling it atypical lipodystrophy, and is extremely rare. She is hoping to get back to me within a few weeks with possible dates for our return trip. There is a fair amount to coordinate on their end of things. And Justin received a new hire packet in the mail from a nationwide elevator inspector company. He is waiting to hear from a supervisor or hiring manager as to the details, how much work they have, where the work is, pay, insurance, company car, etc. We are very hopeful about this company, but are waiting patiently before getting too excited. He has to wait for a license from the state, so it will be a few weeks before he could start anyway. So that is what is going on here. Heidi and Anna's last day is Wednesday!
