Few and far between

Wow, this has been a sparsely updated blog so far this year. Unfortunately there is little news to share. The photos are from a trip to see sheep sheering (or sheeps' haircuts as Emily refers to it). Nothing has changed on the job front. Justin has to have a state license as well so we are waiting for that paperwork to go thru before he can do any actual inspections. Supposedly, one company has a lot of work coming up, so we will continue to wait. The kids only have a month of school left, April just flew by and I am sure May will be the same. Heidi and Anna are doing a great job reading and have learned to jump rope quite well. Luke still loves school, but it ready to be there every day. He and Emily can be the best of buddies and the worst of enemies when they are home together. Luke is taking after Justin and has become quite the hockey player (street, not on skates). And my dear Emily, she is quite the 2 year old. We think the high level of insulin is affecting her mood, because she sure can be a handful at times. She is a busy girl! We did get some paperwork back from NIH. Her insulin and triglycerides remain high but everything else looks good. All her organs look normal, except for the enlarged liver. My concern is that her bone age is that of a 3 year old. When she had her bone age checked back in October it was correct (2 years and a few months). I am not sure if it is just a difference in machines or people reading the x-rays or if her bones are starting to age faster than they should. We have been recommended to the Make-A-Wish foundation by Emily's GI, so we will be in the process of helping Emily make a wish. And the hopes of moving are on hold until Justin finds work, though we are all getting eager to have an "unpacking party".
