We're getting there

Only two weeks to go, yikes! We are making some progress, but still have lots to do. We are hoping to move most of our furniture out of the house next weekend (anyone who wants to help is very welcome :) ). I am going to need a day or two to clean and get all the stuff we use on a daily basis out, and that just about brings us up to closing. We heard from the genetics counselor last night, unfortunately I was away from the phone. She told Justin that the variation is not in our genes, so it started with Emily. Basically we are on the right path, it is just a matter of getting the most accurate diagnosis they can (without anything to compare it to this could take some time), and figure out how to best treat her. Regardless of the exact syndrome the health of the rest of her organs is a concern (her heart is the foremost concern) so we are praying for things to progress in a timely matter. The counselor is not back in the office until Monday, so I have to wait until then for more information and to find out what the next step is. Justin also received his test back from his welding class. The paperwork was difficult to understand so he called his teacher and the teacher said that he thinks Justin passed. We are assuming he will get some kind of certificate to verify that he indeed passed, but he is very excited. This means he is a certified welder (this class was for structural steel in particular), and when Justin told his superintendent he told Justin to call the big boss right away because they are in need of welders. So hopefully that will give Justin a little more job security or more job opportunities. The three girls are on the mend, still coughing a little, and thankfully Luke stayed healthy. I, on the other hand, continue to cough like crazy, so the dr just put me on an antibiotic today. And Justin will get 40 hours this week! We'll take all the good news we can.
