The Good and the Bad
Well we sure have a God who likes to keep us guessing, we are reassured that He knows the plan He has for our lives. Let's begin with the good news. We had our FHA appraisal, which we are still waiting to hear a number from, but there is nothing more to fix, thankfully it could not have gone much better. The even better news is that Justin was hired to an elevator company. He starts on Monday, working night shifts, 10 hours a day for 4 days a week. It will be a great opportunity to save some money, pay down the pile of bills, and reactivate our insurance. Unfortunately it may only be a temporary position, lasting only a few weeks, but it could go longer. So what of our plans then: we will sell our house, unless something unforeseen happens and the deal falls thru, but again we have no guarantee that Justin is back to work for good. We will stay in the area as long as he is working in elevators, though we have no intention of buying another house here. God has us on one crazy ride, because in less than an hour from receiving good news we got bad news. Though the GI never said the words, "Emily has lipodystrophy" he implied that she does. He is basically washing his hands of her right now, the geneticist will handle things from here on out. Nothing changes with her feeding stuff, he said I could even take her off the appetite stimulant if I wanted. That tells me we are once again taking the focus off of food, and instead dealing with this other stuff. Lipodystrophy is rare, especially in children, so this is a pretty serious thing that will affect the rest of Emily's life. I am very eager to get more information and see what the future holds for her, and our family. Keep us in your prayers, we are heading south for the weekend, and then we see the geneticist on Tuesday.
